2011 Revlon Glitters

Hi again! So tomorrow is my last day in Tennessee and I am so sad to leave. :( I will miss my family and  letting them have the experience of watching little Taylee learn and grow. That said I am going to be scheduling my posts for the next few days while I am traveling. Our next stop is Arizona.

Anyways, lately there has been some serious buzz in the nail polish community about these new Revlon glitters. So far they have all been spotted at Target and that's where I picked mine up. I am glad I did because these are all glitter heaven!

My favorite is Starry Pink. It's a soft, baby pink with silver glitter suspended in it. You ladies know that I hardly EVER go for shades like this, but I honestly fell in love with it when it was on. I felt so dainty wearing it. :P LOVE.

Next, is Blue Mosaic. This one reminds me a lot of OPI's Gone Gonzo that will be coming out this holiday season. I have this as my pedi right now and I love it! I layered it over Zoya Robyn to reduce the amount of coats needed since this was a thin glitter. I believe this is 2 coats.

And finally, the polish that has probably generated the most buzz: Facets of Fuchsia. Probably because this is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance for a much more affordable price. This is 2 coats layered over Wet N Wild Black Creme. It was hard to capture so here's 2 pics for ya.

So what do you think of these? I know I'm a fan! <3

Wet N Wild Fast Dry Collection Swatches and Review

Morning! This post is probably a record for how many pics are included, but I think you will enjoy them. I am showing you all of the current polishes in Wet N Wild's Fast Dry line. There are a variety of colors and finishes...a little something for everyone. I will try to keep it short on words and let the pics do the talking! Let's get started!

Gray's Anatomy- I included 2 pics to shows the duochrome effect. This is a very sheer polish, but could work well for layering. This is 3 coats.

Ebony Hates Chris- a black creme. Perfect in one coat!

How I Met Your Magenta- This is a fun one! A bubblegum pink jelly with shimmer. This is on the sheer side at 3 coats, but not terrible.

FuchsiaRama- Another jelly. Very similar to OPI Houston We Have a Purple. So if you missed out on the Texas sorbets...pick this one up! Here is 3 coats.

The Wonder Yellows- A bright, sunny yellow with a shimmer. This reminds me of an egg yolk. :P Here is 3 coats.

Saved By the Blue- A deep, shimmery blue. Very bright and one of my favorites! This is 2 coats.

9.0.2.1.Orange- A gorgeous shimmer/glitter packed citrus orange. I am almost positive this is a close dupe to Zoya Tanzy. Another standout for me! This is 3 coats.

SaGreena the Teenage Witch- A rich, shimmery evergreen shade. I think this green is very chic and could work for lots of occasions. This is 2 coats.

Teal or No Teal- I see this a more of a turqouise, but it's pretty anyway. This reminds me of the ocean near a tropical island. Sounds nice right about now, right?! This is 3 coats.

Teal of Fortune- This is packed with glass flecky glitter. I think this is also a close dupe for Zoya Charla. Another one to pick up for a smaller price tag! Here is 3 coats.

Sage in the City- A springy grass green with shimmer. This is 3 coats.

Blue Wants to Be a Millionaire- A blue jelly with normal and holo glitter. This is 4 coats, but I think this would be best as a layering polish.

A pic with flash to show the holo. Sort of similar to Milani Cyberspace I think!

Hanna Pinktana- Another holo jelly. Similar to Blue Wants to Be a Millionaire. Covers in 4 coats and great for layering!

Silvivor- A fun metallic silver that's good in 2 coats.

The Gold and the Beautiful- Gold shimmer/glitter packed into a clear base. One coat is good for layering and here is 4 for full opacity.

Everybody Loves Redmond- This was my unexpected favorite, probably of the entire collection! A super bright red jelly. I was surprised to find so many jellies in this collection, but I am a fan!

Buffy the Violet Slayer- A deep shimmery purple with blue undertones. I think this pic makes it lean more blue than it is. I love purples this shade though and it covered in 2 coats.

And finally, here is Party of Five Glitters. I am sure most of you have seen this one or already own it since it's a similar polish to Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday. I have also seen many frankens using this glitter. This is a must for any polish lover!

So what are your favorites? Did anyone pick up on the theme of these polish names? Also, if you want to see any comparisons with any of these colors, I will try my best to accommodate.

These polishes normally retail for $1.99 but starting August 28 to September 24 at Walgreens these polishes will be .99!! No excuse not to pick up your favorites! :)

Thanks to those of you that stuck with me through this long post! <3

Orly Stone Cold

Hi everyone! I hope your Monday is going well...my hubby and I are having a Lost marathon this morning. We are almost done with the final season!

So today I have a polish from Orly's Mineral FX collection. My personal standout in the collection...Stone Cold! I first saw swatches from Rainbows and Sparkles and that same day found myself in the backroom of Sally Beauty Supply picking out what I wanted before they put the collection out Sept.1! It never hurts to ask ladies! ;)

This polish is freakin PRETTY! See for yourself:

This reminds me of melted sapphires the way it sparkles, and this shade is blue is definitely a favorite also! You ladies should try to track this down if you can...you won't regret it!

So to add a little something to this (not that a beauty like this needs it) we made a french tip using Fingerpaints Artists Sapphire.

And then some little shooting stars from a Born Pretty Store plate to complete the look! P.S. I have a coupon code in the sidebar for 10% off until August 31. They are also having a giveaway on their Facebook page right now!

Hope you like it! Do any of you plan on picking up some Orly Mineral FX?

LA Splash Oceans Fairy

Hi everyone! I am happy to be back posting today...I had an unfortunate accident with my SD card and everything was erased from it. I had probably a week's worth of posts on there. I just feel sick about it all. :( Since I couldn't go any longer without posting (because I really do love it!), I borrowed my sister's SD card for the time being.

I had pics of this LA Splash polish on my camera, but they are gone now...so these were taken on the third day of wear. Not bad though! This color is a pretty Christmas green, but I still think it's appropriate for any time. This is a glitter polish, but it's not too chunky...which is always nice! It took 2 coats.

LA Splash has a really unique color/finish selection...I really don't know of any of their polishes that are dupes. Though I am sure there are a few.

I also wanted to point out that I added an option to follow by email on the right sidebar a few weeks ago. :)

Well I hope to get back in the groove with some more pics (and some more exciting content) very soon! <3

Hard Candy Mr. Wrong

Hi everyone! I have a favor to ask of you...if any of you happen to see Wet N Wild's LE Halloween polish collection On the Prowl PLEASE tell me! I am very anxious to find some of those beauties! Thank you in advance! :)

Today is a quick swatch from Hard Candy. This is Mr. Wrong. It's a dusty purple with loads of gold shimmer/glitter. It reminds me of Zoya Faye in the way that the gold shimmer sort of takes over the color. At first I really didn't like it. So I swatched it again a few days later just to give it a second chance and I liked it a lot better that time around. Weird. Moral of the story? Give it a second chance!

This polish seemed to change in the light ... that's what makes these pics a little inconsistent when it comes to color, but it's all the light, no editing. We tried to do stamping on this polish and nothing looked good...couldn't find a color that was a good combo...so no nail art. :(

The formula was good in 2 coats, no complaints and over all a great product! You can buy Hard Candy at Walmart for $4.  Do you guys like this shade? Do you know of any dupes for it?

LA Splash Pink Sand

Hi ladies! Tonight is bittersweet because this is the last night I have with all my family together. My sister is going back to college tomorrow. Her and my mom are driving from Tennessee to Utah this week! Wish them luck! :P

The mani I am showing you today is LA Splash Pink Sand. This was a color that I unexpectedly really liked. If you have been following me for a while you know I don't go for toned down shades very often! This is a gorgeous ballerina pink with shimmer.

The formula was a tad thick, but with patience it all evens out ok. This is 2 coats.

Next, I added a gradient using the Glitter Gradient Set from Born Pretty Store to my ring finger. I was very tempted to leave it this way because I LOVE how the glitter looks with Pink Sand!

But alas, I just can't help myself! :) So here is Konad plate M57 stamped with Sally Hansen Color Quick pen in Fuchsia Chrome added to the rest of the fingers:

I know I have been showing you lots of pink and girly mani's lately...hope ya'll don't mind! :)

Color Club Pucci licious + A Little Treat :)

Hi ya'll! Today's post is a random swatch that has been sitting around on my computer for months now so I'm finally going to blog it!

This is Color Club Pucci licious from the Poptastic collection I picked up at Ross a few months back. I'm pretty sure these pics are color accurate, but the blue tones in this polish stand out a little more than in person.

The formula is pretty thick but everything evened out pretty well after a second coat. If you like purples, I think you will like this polish!

And the little treat...my BFF bought this shirt for Taylee...it's covered with polish bottles. How perfect! I thought you guys would appreciate it anyway. :)

Hard Candy Breakup Part II

Hey everyone! I think this is a record for me posting this late in the day. We took more family pics today, only this time with my parents and siblings. We went to the Opryland Hotel to take them and had a good time! I hope you readers had a good Saturday as well!

So in my previous post  reviewing Breakup, I said I wasn't gonna do a full mani with it but I lied! I couldn't resist the matte white/glitter combo. So here is what we ended up with (this is before matte topcoat):

Color used- Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Color Club Bubble Gum Yum and Hard Candy Breakup
Dustin worked his magic and used scotch tape for the french tip.

And here it is matte:

What do you ladies think? Simple, but fun right? And I am so happy with how the matte looks!

Also, just as an FYI- you can now follow me on Twitter @mynailgraffiti. I use it predominantly to post about giveaways, but I am trying to branch out a little more.

AND I recently added an option to subscribe by email in the right sidebar.

It think that's it! Have a great night! <3
